How to perform

Engage your core for stability and keep your elbows close to your body as you lift the barbell upward, focusing on contracting your biceps. Pause briefly at the highest point, then gradually lower the weight back down to a fully extended arm position. Throughout the exercise, prioritize maintaining a solid posture. This movement effectively targets your biceps for strength and definition.

Tips

Keep your elbows stationary throughout the movement to ensure your biceps are doing the work, not momentum. Refrain from swaying or rocking your body; the lift should be powered by your arm muscles alone. Actively clench your biceps at the top of the curl to maximize muscle fiber recruitment and feel the contraction. Lower the barbell with control, resisting the downward pull to enhance strength and minimize risk of strain. Concentrate on the stretch you feel in your biceps as you lower the weight, promoting flexibility and range of motion.
