Apply body weight pressure by lifting hips. Roll slowly from ankle to just below the knee. Pause 30-60 seconds on tender spots. Rotate leg slightly to target inner/outer areas. Breathe deeply while holding.
To control the pressure effectively, use your body weight and focus on applying even pressure throughout the roll. Roll slowly, aiming for about one inch per second, to allow the tissues to release and prevent injury. As you feel tension, consciously breathe into that area, which helps to relax the muscles and enhance the release. When you find a tender spot, pause and maintain pressure for the recommended time, allowing the area to soften. Engaging your core throughout the exercise provides stability and prevents lower back strain, improving overall form and safety. Rotate your leg slightly in both directions to ensure you’re targeting all areas of the calf muscle, maximizing the benefits of the massage.
