Maintain a level chin, then slowly rotate your head to look over your shoulder. Stop at a gentle neck stretch, hold, and return to center. Repeat on the opposite side.
To prevent strain, keep your chin level throughout the exercise, ensuring your gaze remains forward. Consciously relax your shoulders, allowing them to drop away from your ears, which will help isolate the neck movement. Rotate your head slowly and with control, resisting the urge to jerk or rush the motion, as this can increase the risk of injury. Focus on even, deep breathing during the stretch to promote relaxation and enhance the feeling of release. Stop at the point where you feel a mild stretch – avoid pushing into any pain or discomfort, as this indicates you're exceeding your current range of motion.
