How to perform

Hold, feeling a stretch in your chest and shoulders, then inhale deeply while maintaining posture. Slowly lower arms to release.

Muscles Worked

Anterior Delts
Secondary: Long Head, Mid Traps, Lower Traps

Tips

Focus on keeping your shoulders down and back to prevent upper trap tension and promote proper scapular engagement. Lift your chest and open your ribcage to maximize the stretch across your pectoral muscles and improve posture. Actively engage your core muscles to stabilize your spine and prevent lower back arching during the exercise. Maintain a neutral and elongated neck position, avoiding any craning or tilting, to prevent strain. Keep your arms straight with a gentle bend in your elbows to protect your joints and evenly distribute the stretch. Breathe calmly and deeply throughout the movement to promote relaxation and enhance the effectiveness of the stretch.
