How to perform

Grasp handles, disengage safety locks if needed. Lower the platform slowly by bending your knees to about 90 degrees, maintaining a neutral lower back. Extend your legs, pushing through your mid-foot and heels, stopping just before full knee extension. Repeat.

Muscles Worked

Glute Max
Secondary: Adductor Magnus, Biceps Femoris

Tips

Ensure your feet are flat on the platform to provide a stable base and evenly distribute your weight throughout the movement. Keep your back pressed firmly against the pad to maintain proper spinal alignment and prevent lower back strain. Avoid locking your knees at the top of the movement, as this can put unnecessary stress on the joint and reduce muscle engagement; instead, maintain a slight bend. Focus on driving through your heels during the extension phase to engage your glutes and hamstrings effectively, and to ensure a powerful and controlled return to the starting position.
