How to perform

Engage your core, drawing your navel to your spine. Exhale and crunch forward, twisting to bring your left elbow toward your right knee and right knee toward your chest. Briefly hold, then inhale as you return to the starting position. Repeat on the opposite side, alternating sides in a controlled, pedaling motion.

Secondary: Iliopsoas, Erector Spinae

Tips

Maintain a tight core throughout the entire exercise to protect your lower back and maximize oblique engagement. Initiate the twisting motion from your obliques, not just your arms, to fully activate your core muscles. Aim to bring your elbow as close to your knee as possible with each crunch, focusing on the rotational movement. Perform slow, controlled repetitions to ensure proper form and prevent momentum from taking over. Keep your neck relaxed and avoid straining by looking forward throughout the movement. Ensure your feet remain grounded and stable to provide a solid base and prevent rocking or swinging during the exercise.
