Tips

Maintain a tight core throughout the exercise to stabilize your spine and prevent lower back strain, focusing on drawing your belly button towards your spine. Ensure your hips remain level throughout the movement to distribute the work evenly across your core muscles and avoid twisting. Pull your knees towards your chest by hinging at your hips, not by arching your back, to maximize core engagement. Keep your shoulders directly over your hands to prevent strain in your wrists and shoulders, ensuring a stable base for the movement. Control the return of your legs to the starting position, resisting the urge to drop quickly, which helps build strength and stability.
