How to perform

Start with feet slightly wider than shoulder-width, toes pointed out 15-30 degrees. Arms positioned for stability. Requires 10-20 meters of clear space. Descend into a deep squat (thighs at or below parallel), maintaining a lifted chest, braced core, and flat heels. Step one foot forward 12-18 inches while holding squat depth. Bring the trailing foot forward to return to the starting stance, maintaining squat depth. Alternate lead legs and continue walking. Torso upright, breathe steadily.

Secondary: Hamstrings, adductors, hip flexors, calves, core stabilizers

Tips

Maintain full squat depth throughout. Short, controlled steps (12-18 inches) are crucial; avoid over-striding. Keep your chest lifted to prevent lower back strain. Ensure heels remain flat on the floor; address any heel lift by shortening steps. Keep hips level during each step; focus on pelvic stability.
