Step forward with one foot, shin vertical. Lower until the back knee nears the ground, keeping your front knee over your ankle and torso upright. Drive through your front heel to extend your hips and knees, then return the back foot to the starting position. Alternate legs for each repetition.
Keep your elbows high to help maintain a stable upper body and prevent excessive forward lean. Focus on maintaining an upright torso throughout the movement to engage your core and protect your lower back. Ensure your front knee tracks directly over your toes during the descent to avoid placing unnecessary stress on your knee joint. Actively drive through your front heel as you extend your legs to maximize power and engage your glutes. Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to stabilize your spine and improve overall control, preventing lower back strain.
