Grip handles, position rope behind feet. Flick wrists to rotate the rope while jumping 4-8 inches straight up. Land softly on the balls of your feet with slightly bent knees, maintaining an upright posture and engaged core. Accelerate wrists for two full rope passes before landing, focusing on rhythmic timing and minimal arm swing.
Focus on a quick wrist flick to drive the rope's rotation, avoiding large arm movements which can disrupt your rhythm and efficiency. Ensure you jump vertically, avoiding forward or backward movement to maintain balance and maximize rope clearance. Absorb the impact of each jump by landing softly on the balls of your feet, bending your knees slightly to protect your joints. Engage your core muscles to stabilize your torso and maintain an upright posture throughout the exercise, which will improve power transfer and prevent lower back strain. Keep your elbows close to your sides to minimize unnecessary movement and focus the power on your wrists.
