How to perform

Squat deeply, thighs parallel to the floor, maintaining a neutral spine and forward gaze. Step forward with one foot, keeping the squat depth. Bring the trailing foot forward to shoulder-width, flat-footed. Continue alternating small steps while keeping your hips low. Return to the starting position after completing the desired distance or repetitions; reverse direction for a backward walk.

Tips

Maintain an upright chest to engage your upper back and prevent rounding. Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to stabilize your spine and improve power transfer. Press through your heels to ensure full muscle activation and prevent your body from shifting forward. Ensure your knees track in line with your toes to avoid valgus collapse and reduce the risk of injury. Take short, controlled steps to maintain squat depth and balance throughout the walking motion. Focus your gaze on a fixed point ahead to help maintain balance and proper posture during the exercise.
