Lower dumbbells slowly towards your chest, elbows at 45 degrees. Pause briefly at chest level. Exhale and press dumbbells up in a slight arc, fully extending arms without locking. Squeeze your chest at the top. Maintain control throughout.
To protect your shoulder joints, keep your elbows tucked in close to your body throughout the movement, creating a stronger angle for chest activation. Focus on squeezing your pectoral muscles at the top of the press to maximize muscle engagement and feel the contraction. Ensure your wrists remain straight and neutral to avoid unnecessary strain and maintain proper force distribution. Control the descent of the dumbbells, resisting gravity to build strength and stability in your chest and shoulders. Ground your feet and drive through your heels to create a stable base and generate power for the upward press.
