Press through the balls of your feet to lift your heels as high as possible. Pause and squeeze your calves at the top, then slowly lower your heels below the starting position to stretch. Maintain a slight bend in your knees and keep your torso upright throughout the movement, avoiding momentum.
Actively push through the balls of your feet to engage your calf muscles and maximize heel elevation, ensuring a full range of motion. At the peak of the movement, consciously squeeze your calf muscles together to enhance contraction and muscle activation. Lower your heels slowly and with control, resisting the urge to drop quickly to fully stretch the calf muscles and prevent injury. Maintain a slight bend in your knees to avoid locking them and reduce stress on your joints, allowing for a more comfortable and sustainable range of motion. Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to stabilize your torso and prevent excessive swaying or arching, which can compromise form and reduce effectiveness.
