Muscle outlines from Body Muscles by Ivan Vulović, Apache 2.0 — regrouped and recoloured for Muscle Train.
Step back with one foot, landing on the ball of your foot. Lower your body until your front thigh is parallel to the floor, keeping your front shin vertical and back knee slightly off the ground. Drive through your front heel to return to the starting position, resisting the band's pull to maintain an upright posture. Alternate legs.
Maintain an upright chest to engage your core and prevent leaning forward during the exercise, which will help you maximize glute activation. Ensure your front knee tracks directly over your toes to avoid placing unnecessary stress on your knee joint and maintain proper alignment. Focus on driving powerfully through your front heel to fully extend your hips and legs, creating a strong push-off. Engage your core muscles throughout the movement to stabilize your torso and protect your lower back. Keep your torso upright and avoid excessive forward lean, which can shift the focus away from your glutes and onto your quads.
