Engage your core, maintain upright posture. Rotate your forearm outward, keeping your elbow fixed. Pause at full rotation, then slowly return, resisting the band. Switch sides and repeat.
To ensure proper form, focus on keeping your elbow pressed firmly against your side throughout the entire movement, preventing any arm movement from your lower arm. Initiate the rotation solely from your shoulder joint, visualizing a circular motion to maximize shoulder activation and avoid wrist strain. Maintain a neutral wrist position to prevent discomfort and potential injury, avoiding any bending or flexing. Actively engage your core muscles to stabilize your torso and prevent twisting during the rotation, which will help maintain proper posture and protect your lower back. Perform the exercise slowly and with controlled movements, resisting the band on both the outward and return phases to increase muscle engagement and improve time under tension. Finally, consciously depress your shoulder blades and pull them down and back to create a stable and strong upper back foundation, which will enhance the effectiveness of the exercise and improve posture.
