Step back into a reverse lunge, lowering the back knee. Keep the front shin vertical and torso upright. Rotate your torso over the front leg, then return to center. Drive through the front heel to stand.
To ensure stability and proper engagement, focus on keeping your hips square throughout the movement, preventing excessive rotation or tilting. As you lower into the lunge, consciously rotate your torso and shoulders over the front leg, feeling a stretch in your obliques and engaging your core for stability. Maintain an upright chest throughout the exercise to prevent rounding of the back and ensure proper spinal alignment. Lightly tap the back knee towards the floor, controlling the descent and avoiding impact to protect your joints.
