Tips

To maintain spinal alignment, focus on lengthening your spine upwards, preventing any rounding or hunching during the side bend. Ensure the bending motion is purely lateral, avoiding any forward or backward lean, which can strain the lower back. Actively engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to provide stability and protect your spine from excessive movement. Consciously relax your shoulders, preventing them from hunching or rising towards your ears, to promote a more fluid and comfortable movement. Avoid twisting your torso during the side bend, as this can compromise the targeted muscles and increase the risk of injury.
