How to perform

Place the parallettes shoulder-width apart with your hands directly under your shoulders in a neutral grip and your arms straight on a stable surface. Depress and protract your scapula while rounding your lower back into a hollow body position and tucking your knees tightly toward your chest. Drive your shoulders down, press hard through your hands to lift your hips off the bars, and bring your knees high before extending one leg forward into the L position. Straighten and squeeze the quadriceps of your extended leg fully while keeping the other knee tucked as high and tight to your chest as possible. Maintain the hollow shape and breathe steadily while keeping your shoulders depressed, your triceps engaged, and your focus on core tension. Lower your hips slightly to tuck both knees back in before extending the opposite leg to balance your strength and reduce asymmetries.
