How to perform

Stand with feet hip-width apart, dumbbells at sides. Engage core, chest up. Step back with one foot, lowering hips until knees are bent at 90 degrees (front knee over ankle). Push through the heel to return. Alternate legs.

Tips

Maintain an upright torso. Prevent front knee from extending past toes. Control the movement for maximum muscle engagement. Keep your core tight. Start with lighter weights.
