Engage your core, lean forward from the hips, and extend your elbows to lower the bar towards your thighs. Squeeze your triceps at the bottom, then slowly return to chest level, keeping your elbows close to your sides.
To protect your shoulder joints, focus on keeping your elbows tucked in close to your sides throughout the entire movement, preventing them from flaring outwards. Really concentrate on squeezing your triceps muscles at the bottom of the movement to maximize muscle activation and ensure you're feeling the work in your arms. Maintaining a neutral, straight wrist position will help prevent strain and ensure proper force transfer during the exercise. Avoid using momentum by controlling the weight throughout the entire range of motion; a slower, more deliberate pace will lead to better results and reduce the risk of injury.
