Set up a V-bar attachment on a high pulley cable machine. Position yourself facing the machine with your feet roughly shoulder-width apart. Securely hold the V-bar with an overhand grip, ensuring your palms face downwards and your hands are spaced shoulder-width apart. This exercise primarily targets the triceps, with supporting involvement from your chest and shoulders.
Focus on keeping your elbows pinned to your sides throughout the movement to isolate the triceps. Avoid using any body sway or jerking motions; prioritize deliberate, controlled actions. Maintain a neutral position in your wrists to prevent strain. Select a weight that allows you to execute the exercise with proper technique. Actively brace your core muscles to provide stability and protect your lower back. Extend your arms fully at the bottom of the movement to maximize triceps contraction.
