Grip cables in an 'X' position. Extend arms diagonally down and inward, straightening elbows and squeezing triceps at full extension. Slowly return to start, keeping upper arms stable and resisting cable tension.
To isolate your triceps, keep your elbows pinned to your sides throughout the entire movement, preventing any shoulder involvement. Focus on squeezing your triceps hard at the bottom of the movement when your hands are near your hips to maximize muscle activation. Control the return motion by resisting the cable's pull, ensuring a slow and deliberate eccentric contraction. Maintain a stable upper arm position by keeping your elbows close to your body and avoiding any flaring or drifting. Ensure a full cable 'X' crossing at the beginning of each repetition to properly set up the exercise. Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to stabilize your body and prevent unwanted movement.
