Engage your core and glutes for stability. Shift weight to the supporting arm, reach under with the opposite hand to grab the dumbbell. Pull the dumbbell smoothly across to the opposite side, placing it behind the other wrist. Return to the floor, maintaining plank alignment. Alternate sides for each rep.
To prevent excessive rotation, focus on keeping your hips square to the ground throughout the exercise, ensuring a stable base. Actively brace your core muscles as if preparing for a punch to maintain a rigid torso and prevent lower back arching. Execute the movement slowly and with controlled movements to maximize muscle engagement and minimize the risk of injury. Ensure your shoulders are stacked directly over your wrists during the pull to protect your shoulder joints and promote proper form. Keep your gaze fixed on a spot slightly in front of you on the ground to maintain a neutral spine and avoid neck strain. Position your feet approximately hip-width apart to provide a solid foundation and allow for comfortable weight distribution.
