Shift weight to the left hand. Lift the right hand off the floor, reaching under your body with a slight torso twist. Keep hips square and stable as you return the right hand to the plank position. Alternate sides.
Maintain hips square to the floor throughout the movement to prevent excessive rotation and protect your lower back; imagine a straight line from your shoulders to your hips. Keep your core braced tightly to stabilize your torso and prevent arching or sagging in your lower back. Ensure your shoulders are positioned directly over your hands to distribute weight evenly and avoid strain on your wrists. Focus your gaze slightly downward to maintain a neutral spine and prevent neck strain, which will also help with overall body stability. Perform the movement slowly and with control to maximize muscle engagement and minimize the risk of injury, focusing on feeling the work in your obliques.
