Tips

To initiate the movement, lead with your elbow, focusing on feeling the muscle engagement rather than simply lifting your arm. Actively squeeze your rear deltoids at the top of the movement to maximize muscle activation and ensure proper form. Maintain a stable body throughout the exercise, avoiding any rocking or shifting to prevent momentum and focus on the targeted muscles. Keep your spine in a neutral position, preventing arching or rounding of the back, to protect your lower back and maintain proper posture. Control the descent of the dumbbell, resisting the urge to let gravity take over, to build strength and prevent injury.
