How to perform

Hinge at the hips, hiking the kettlebell between your legs. Explosively drive your hips forward to swing the kettlebell to chest height. Release and smoothly catch with the opposite hand at the peak. Allow the kettlebell to descend, hinging at the hips for the next backswing. Repeat, alternating hands in a continuous rhythm.

Tips

To generate power, focus on driving the movement with your hips, not relying solely on your arm strength, which can lead to fatigue and injury. Actively pack your shoulders by drawing them down and back to maintain stability and prevent rounding. Engage your core muscles by bracing as if preparing for a punch to resist rotational forces and protect your lower back. As the kettlebell swings up, allow your hips to guide the catch, absorbing the momentum rather than relying on your hands to stop it. Maintain a neutral spine throughout the exercise, avoiding excessive arching or rounding of your back to ensure proper form and prevent strain.
