How to perform

Engage your core, keep your chest up, and inhale as you bend your front knee until your thigh is parallel to the ground. Ensure your knee aligns over your toes. Exhale and drive through your heel to extend your knee and hip, squeezing your glutes at the top. Switch legs after each set.

Tips

To maximize power and stability, focus on driving through your front heel as you extend your leg, ensuring you’re pushing off the ground effectively. Pay close attention to your knee alignment, keeping it directly above your toes throughout the movement to prevent injury and ensure proper muscle engagement. Maintain a tight core and keep your chest lifted to stabilize your torso and prevent excessive arching in your lower back. A slight forward lean from the hips can help activate your glutes and increase the range of motion, but avoid overextending. Be mindful of your knee position, preventing it from extending past your toes to protect your knee joint and maintain proper form.
