Engage your core and twist your torso to bring your right knee towards your left elbow. Slowly return to plank. Alternate sides, driving your left knee towards your right elbow with a twist. Maintain a straight body line and level hips throughout.
To maximize the core engagement, initiate the twisting motion from your obliques, not just your arms. Maintain a rigid plank position by squeezing your glutes and drawing your belly button towards your spine, preventing any sagging or arching in your lower back. Focus on bringing your knee as close as possible to the opposite elbow, which will deepen the torso rotation and challenge your core stability. Ensure your hips remain square to the floor throughout the exercise, avoiding any excessive rotation that could compromise your form and potentially lead to injury. Breathe steadily and deeply throughout the movement, exhaling as you twist and inhaling as you return to the starting position, to help maintain control and rhythm.
