Engage your core and glutes, maintaining a straight line. Lower your chest to the handles by bending your elbows and retracting your shoulder blades until your chest is level with your hands. Press through your palms to extend your arms and return to the starting position. Avoid strap contact with your arms.
Maintain a rigid plank-like body position throughout the exercise to protect your lower back and maximize upper body engagement; think of squeezing your abdominal muscles as if bracing for a punch. Keep your core consistently tight to prevent lower back arching or sagging, which can compromise form and increase injury risk. Position your elbows at a roughly 45-degree angle to your body to reduce stress on your shoulder joints and ensure a controlled movement. Be mindful of your hips; avoid letting them sag towards the floor, as this indicates a lack of core stability or insufficient glute engagement. Actively push away from the floor with your palms to fully extend your arms and complete the repetition, focusing on squeezing your chest muscles.
