How to perform

Start in a lunge, knees bent 90 degrees, front thigh parallel to the floor, back knee hovering. Core engaged, arms ready. Explosively jump upward, driving through both feet and swinging arms for momentum. Fully extend hips and knees at peak height. While airborne, scissor legs, switching front and back positions. Land softly in a lunge, opposite leg forward, knees bent to absorb impact. Land on the ball of your foot, rolling to your heel, back knee hovering.

Muscles Worked

Secondary: Hip flexors, core stabilizers, hip adductors

Tips

Land quietly, bending deeply at ankles, knees, and hips. Jump vertically, focusing on a spot overhead. Utilize arm swing for added height and leg switch time. Prioritize quality over speed; pause briefly at the bottom of each lunge. End the set if landings are loud, knees cave, or leg switches are compromised.
