How to perform

Stretch your shins by lowering your toes. Contract your shin muscles to lift your toes as high as possible, pausing briefly to squeeze. Lower your toes slowly and with control, repeating while maintaining balance.

Tips

Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to stabilize your body and prevent lower back arching. Maintain an upright posture, avoiding leaning forward or backward, to ensure proper muscle engagement. Squeeze your shin muscles forcefully at the top of the movement to maximize contraction and target the tibialis anterior. Control the movement throughout the entire range of motion, resisting gravity on both the upward and downward phases to build strength and stability. If you feel unsteady, use a chair or wall for support to maintain balance and proper form.
