Lower the bar behind your head until your forearms pass 90 degrees, pausing briefly. Extend your elbows to press the bar overhead, keeping your upper arms still. Maintain control throughout each repetition.
Tucking your elbows tightly throughout the movement helps to engage the triceps and minimize shoulder stress, ensuring a more targeted exercise. Actively brace your core to stabilize your body and prevent excessive arching or lower back movement during the lift. Squeeze your triceps hard at the top of the movement to fully contract the muscle and maximize its activation. Control the descent of the bar to avoid momentum and maintain proper form, focusing on a slow and deliberate lowering motion.
