How to perform

Lie on an incline bench with a grip a bit wider than your shoulders. As you inhale, lower the barbell along a curved path to your sternum, then exhale forcefully as you press it straight back up to a full arm extension. Focus on keeping your upper back engaged throughout the entire lift.

Muscles Worked

Pectoralis major
Secondary: Triceps, Front delt

Tips

Maintain proper form, ensuring the bar travels in a straight line. Make sure the barbell makes contact with your chest with each rep. Keep your upper back tight by squeezing the bar and retracting your shoulder blades. Utilize leg drive and a slight arch in your back for added stability and power. Modify your grip width if you feel any shoulder pain.
