Slowly lower the barbell by extending your wrists, allowing you to feel a stretch in your forearms. Reverse the motion by flexing your wrists, bringing the weight upwards and contracting your forearm muscles. Maintain a stable, upright position and keep your arms straight throughout the movement. Repeat the process, focusing on controlled wrist action.
Keep your arms fully extended and rigid to concentrate the effort on your wrists and avoid shoulder strain. Isolate the movement to your wrists; avoid any bending at the elbows or upper arms to target the forearms directly. At the peak of the wrist curl, consciously squeeze your forearm muscles to maximize contraction. Lower the weight with control, resisting the pull to ensure a steady and deliberate pace. Tighten your core to provide stability and prevent any unwanted shifts in your body.
