Retract shoulder blades to start the pull. Pull the handle towards your torso, keeping your elbows close to your sides. Squeeze your back muscles at the peak. Slowly extend your arms to return, controlling the weight. Switch sides after completing the set.
To initiate the movement effectively, focus on leading with your elbows, drawing them downwards towards your sides as you pull the handle. Actively squeeze your shoulder blades together at the peak of the contraction to maximize back muscle engagement and ensure proper form. Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to maintain a stable torso and prevent lower back strain. Avoid twisting your torso during the pull, as this shifts the focus away from your back muscles and can lead to injury. Control the weight as you slowly extend your arms back to the starting position, resisting the urge to let it drop quickly to maintain tension and prevent momentum.
