Tips

Actively squeeze your shoulder blades down and back throughout the exercise to engage the muscles properly and prevent upper trap dominance. Focus on keeping your thumbs pointing upwards towards the ceiling throughout the entire range of motion to ensure you're targeting the correct muscles and avoiding unnecessary strain on your wrists. If performing this exercise on a bench, maintain consistent contact between your chest and the bench to provide stability and promote proper form. Control the lowering phase of the movement, resisting gravity to maximize muscle engagement and reduce the risk of injury. Be mindful of your shoulder position and avoid shrugging your shoulders towards your ears, as this indicates improper form and can lead to discomfort.
