How to perform

Adjust an incline bench to a moderate angle, between 30 and 45 degrees. Grasp a dumbbell in each hand, positioning your palms to face inward. Recline on the bench, ensuring your feet are stable on the floor. Starting with your arms extended downwards, draw the weights up towards your chest by squeezing your shoulder blades together and bending your elbows.

Tips

Keep your spine in a natural, straight position throughout the exercise. Concentrate on contracting your upper back muscles, minimizing involvement from your biceps. Position your elbows near your sides to maximize shoulder engagement. Manage the weight’s movement deliberately, resisting any fast or jerky motions. Refrain from using body rocking to lift the dumbbells. Ensure your head remains aligned with your spine.
