Exhale and rotate your torso to lift the kettlebell diagonally toward the opposite shoulder. Keep arms extended with a slight elbow bend, following the kettlebell with your eyes. Fully extend at the top, maintaining a neutral spine. Inhale and control the kettlebell back to the starting position, resisting momentum.
To maximize power, initiate the movement by driving the rotation from a strong, engaged core, as if twisting from your obliques. Focus on keeping your hips square to the ground throughout the exercise to prevent excessive lower back rotation and ensure a controlled movement. Keep your eyes fixed on the kettlebell as it moves to help guide your torso rotation and maintain proper form. Maintain a tall posture by engaging your glutes and keeping your chest lifted, which will help stabilize your spine and prevent rounding. Control the descent of the kettlebell by resisting the pull of gravity, engaging your core and obliques to ensure a slow, deliberate return to the starting position.
