How to perform

Lower weights in a wide arc, feeling a pec stretch. Maintain a slight bend in your elbows. Contract your upper chest to bring the dumbbells together at the top, stopping just before contact.

Muscles Worked

Anterior Delts
Secondary: Triceps

Tips

Imagine hugging a tree as you perform the movement to ensure a wide, engaging arc for your chest muscles; this helps prevent shoulder involvement. Keep your elbows slightly soft throughout the exercise to absorb impact and protect your joints, avoiding hyperextension. Focus on squeezing your upper chest muscles at the top of the movement to maximize activation and build that upper chest definition. Control the descent of the weights, resisting gravity to maintain constant tension on your pecs and enhance muscle engagement.
