Press dumbbell upward, rotating your wrist so your palm faces forward. Extend your arm nearly fully overhead, maintaining a slight elbow bend. Pause briefly at the top, squeezing your shoulder. Reverse the motion, rotating your wrist back as you lower the weight. Return to shoulder height with palm facing your body. Switch arms after completing your reps.
Rotate your wrist smoothly throughout the movement to engage your forearm muscles and avoid any jerky motions that could lead to injury. Engage your core muscles throughout the exercise to stabilize your torso and prevent excessive arching or twisting of your spine. Keep your elbows forward to promote a more controlled movement and minimize stress on your shoulder joint, focusing on feeling the work in your deltoids. Maintain a tall and upright posture throughout the exercise, avoiding hunching or leaning, to ensure proper form and maximize effectiveness. Squeeze your shoulder muscles at the top of the movement to fully contract the deltoid and enhance muscle activation.
