Brace your core and retract your shoulder blade. Press the kettlebell overhead in a straight line, keeping your arm close to your head. Fully extend your elbow, bringing your bicep towards your ear. Slowly lower the kettlebell back to the rack position, maintaining an upright torso.
To maintain stability and prevent lower back strain, focus on keeping your torso upright throughout the entire movement, engaging your abdominal muscles. At the top of the press, ensure your wrist, elbow, and shoulder are stacked vertically to maximize power and minimize risk of injury. Actively brace your core throughout the exercise to stabilize your spine and prevent excessive movement. Avoid arching your lower back; maintain a neutral spine by engaging your glutes and core. Keep your elbow close to your head during the press to ensure proper form and maximize shoulder engagement.
