Exhale, lift the bar forward, raising your shoulders. Keep arms extended with a slight elbow bend, raising until the bar reaches shoulder height, arms parallel to the floor. Pause, squeeze your front deltoids, then inhale and slowly lower to the starting position.
Initiate the movement by leading with your shoulders to ensure proper muscle engagement and prevent arm dominance. Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the exercise to protect your joints and allow for a smoother range of motion. Avoid swinging your torso; focus on controlled movement, engaging your core to stabilize your body and prevent momentum. At the top of the movement, actively squeeze your front deltoids to maximize muscle contraction and enhance the effectiveness of the exercise. Lower the bar slowly and with control, resisting the pull of gravity to build strength and improve muscle endurance.
