Exhale, raise the kettlebell forward from your shoulders, arms mostly straight. Lift to arms parallel with the ground, pause, squeezing your front deltoids. Inhale as you slowly lower the kettlebell back to the starting position. Repeat, maintaining control.
To initiate the movement, lead with your shoulders, focusing on a controlled upward push rather than relying on arm strength. Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the exercise to prevent hyperextension and protect your joints. Actively engage your core muscles to stabilize your torso and prevent excessive arching or rounding of the back. Avoid using momentum or body swing to lift the kettlebell, as this reduces the effectiveness of the exercise and increases the risk of injury. Control the descent of the kettlebell, resisting the urge to simply drop it back down, to maximize muscle engagement and build strength.
